Kawai KG-2A Grand Piano

Renowned for its immensely well-balanced tone and light-to-medium touch that both allow pianists to savor playing with ease, this High-polished white Kawai model KG-2A grand piano at 5’10” in length plays expressively, accurately and smoothly.

The KG-series of pianos were very popular for Kawai in the US and Canada. Built in their main factory in Hamamatsu, Japan, the KG-series was later re-branded as the top-of-the-line RX-series.

This piano’s tone is European-inspired and mellow; not nearly as bright as its Japanese counterpart, Yamaha, tends to be voiced. The duration of tone (“sustain”) is lengthy and tends to be preferred by classical musicians.

The treble has a clear, bell-like singing quality, and the full, lush bass response is satisfyingly excellent. The middle pedal has a true sostenuto function.
